This has been a really hard birthday for my Dad. This is the first Birthday he has celebrated with out my mom around and he has been pretty emotional. We are so thankful to have him around he has been so strong through loosing our Angel (mom). He teaches us so much each day. I hope that we can continue to grow stronger as a family.

I'm glad you were all able to be there for your Dad on his birthday. He loves you all so much-you can see it on his face. You will grow stronger as a family through this difficult trial. Our trials make us appreciate the good times just that much more even though it's hard. Look for the joy, Beck, it's all around.
I LOVE feeeling like you're just across the street with this blog stuff. I can see by the balloons and stuff YOU made sure your Dad a great birthday in spite of the hardship....that's what makes you such a special person and keeps your family strong!! I love you and am so proud of you!!
